What to Expect: Join us on a gastronomic adventure where the past meets the palate! As a local chef and sommelier born and raised in Testaccio, I’ll guide you through the neighborhood’s charming streets and introduce you to its legendary street food scene. You’ll experience:

MORNING STREET FOOD TOUR (11:00 AM)

• Breakfast at One of Rome’s Most Famous Cafés: Start your day with a delicious cappuccino and “maritozzo” or other traditional Roman pastries.
• Walking Tour of Ancient Testaccio Streets: Explore what was once Rome’s ancient port while hearing fascinating stories and anecdotes.
• Historic Food Shops: Visit an ancient bakery and a traditional cheese and/or cured meat shop to discover authentic Roman flavors.
• Testaccio Market Tastings: Sample authentic street food at various market stalls including “supplì” (Rome’s street food king), Roman-style pizza by the slice, and enjoy wine, beer, or soda.
• You will taste al least 10 different typical local foods.

EVENING FOOD TOUR (Available after market closing hours)

• Testaccio Food Experience: We’ll sample an Aperitivo with the best street food specialties from different local vendors.
• Testaccio’s Best Pizza: Taste the neighborhood’s finest pizza paired with excellent wine.
• Trapizzino Tasting: Try this modern Roman street food creation that’s become a local favorite.Note: Venues and locations may vary based on season, availability, and closing periods.
